Getting your device and headset ready for use with your phone solution will ensure the best call quality and experience. Let's take a look at the requirements below.
Computer Requirements
-
Google Chrome (the most recent version)
-
64-bit version of Windows 10 / Windows 11 or macOS 10.14+
-
Minimum 4Gb of RAM
-
Intel i5 dual-core processor or equivalent
🚫 The Desktop Application is not supported on Linux or on Chromebooks. You will need to use the web application in these instances.
🚫 The Web Application is not supported on iPad.
⚠️ Please note that the use of remote or virtual computers is not recommended.
Mobile Requirements
-
iOS 13.0 or later, or Android 7.0 or later
💡 Pro-tip: please verify with your internal IT department that if in your organization you use security or firewall programs on your device, that you have allowed full access. If you have one of these programs enabled is not approved, it could interfere with your ability to make and receive calls.
⚠️ Please note the mobile app is not recommended for iPads.
Headset Requirements
When using a VoIP service, it's important to make sure that you are using a professional stereo headset.
We recommend using the Jabra Evolve 40 UC Stereo headset, which is available with USB and mini-jack adapters so it's suited for both Mac and Windows computers.
-
On Windows (Microsoft), we recommend using a USB wired headset.
-
On macOS (Apple), we recommend using a mini-jack wired headset.
Although the use of mono or Bluetooth headsets, earphones, and other wireless headsets is possible, as they require the use of your network, we recommend something with a wired connection that won't strain the network.
⚠️ Please note that Corsair brand headsets are not supported for use.
Headset controls
💡 Please note that this feature is part of a tiered roll-out occurring through February 2022, so existing customers may not have access to this feature until updates are launched for their tier.
We have been rolling out the support of Jabra headsets commands for call actions with the Desktop Application.
This feature enables you to use your Jabra headset with call controls to:
-
pick up calls and hang up ongoing calls.
-
increase and decrease call volume during calls.
-
mute and unmute yourself during calls.
-
if the control unit has a busylight, have the light on while in a call and flashing while ringing.
